A healthy crowd of over thirty international sailors including official entertainer Trevor Chatelier from Witte Kreeft<\/em> and Atlantic Crossing Group coordinator Jackie Byrne from Rivalady<\/em> made up the group.<\/p>\n Jimmy Cornell, whose first visit to Lanzarote took place 40 years ago as he set off on a 7-year family world voyage, was delighted to see such a positive turn-out. His team\u2019s annual seminar week forms part of preparations for this year\u2019s celebratory \u201cBarbados 50\u201d rally that incorporates the Canaries, Islands and Atlantic Odysseys; aiming to arrive in Barbados for the 50th<\/sup> anniversary of the island\u2019s independence on the 30th<\/sup> November. The free seminars have attracted a huge number of visitors due to opportunity to learn, network and benefit from the panel of experts and fellow sailors.<\/p>\n Part of an extensive group that had sailed down from Lagos, Jackie Byrne said \u201cWe feel very privileged to be welcomed to the seminar week and are really looking forward to taking part in the sessions and picking up tips for a future Atlantic crossing.
