The 2nd Gran Canaria \u2013 Fuerteventura Regatta is a cruising race set to set sail on 1
May from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, bringing together some of the best
yachts in the archipelago.
The Real Club N\u00e1utico de Gran Canaria (RCNGC) is organising a new edition of the
Gran Canaria \u2013 Fuerteventura Regatta, a cruising race that will set sail on 1
May from the bay of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, bound for Marina Jand\u00eda in
Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the second edition of the regatta, an event that has been very well received since its launch and which, on this occasion, is expected to exceed the number of entries from the previous edition, which reached 38 boats.
The regatta will cover a course of 63 nautical miles and will bring together a distinguished fleet of cruising class boats, divided into the ORC 0 to ORC 5 categories, as well as featuring a Corinthian Trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is being held in collaboration with the Club N\u00e1utico Pen\u00ednsula de Jand\u00eda and Calero
Marinas, and is supported by the regional branch of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation
and the Royal Canarian Sailing Federation. It also enjoys institutional support
from the Government of the Canary Islands, the Island Council of Gran Canaria, the Island Council of Fuerteventura, the
P\u00e1jara Town Council and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Town Council. Added to this is
the collaboration of Naviera Armas \u2013 Trasmediterr\u00e1nea, the Spanish Association of
Yacht Clubs (AECN) and the Canarian Association of Yacht Clubs (ACCN).
The registration period will remain open until 26 April. On 30 April,
the participating boats will be confirmed and the skippers\u2019 meeting will be held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The start is scheduled for 1 May at 09:00 from the bay of Las Palmas
de Gran Canaria. From there, the fleet will set course for Morro Jable on a demanding
crossing that will test the crews\u2019 strategy and endurance on the high
seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Real Club N\u00e1utico de Gran Canaria is one of the most
traditional sailing clubs in the Canary Islands, founded in 1908. It is renowned for its
intense sporting activity, particularly in sailing, and for organising regional,
national and international competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, the Club N\u00e1utico Pen\u00ednsula de Jand\u00eda has established itself as a leading
player in the south of Fuerteventura, promoting sailing and collaborating on sporting events that boost the island\u2019s maritime profile. The regatta will finish at Marina Jand\u00eda, the latest project from the company Calero Marinas. With over 300 berths for vessels up to 50 metres in length, it is Fuerteventura\u2019s first privately managed marina. This unique location is positioned as an ideal venue for hosting high-profile events, combining first-class sailing facilities with select dining and leisure options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
