{"id":5377,"date":"2016-03-16T18:50:53","date_gmt":"2016-03-16T18:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.caleromarinas.com\/?post_type=noticia&#038;p=5377"},"modified":"2016-12-12T12:01:35","modified_gmt":"2016-12-12T12:01:35","slug":"calero-marinas-solo-transat-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.caleromarinas.com\/en\/calero-marinas-solo-transat-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Calero Marinas Solo Transat"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong>This new single-handed transatlantic race is an official qualifying event for the famous Vend\u00e9e Globe.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong>The Real Club N\u00e1utico de Arrecife will be organising the 3000nm challenge which departs from Lanzarote in April.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three IMOCA 60 teams have already registered to take part in the Calero Marinas Solo Transat: S\u00e9bastien Destremau (<a title=\"faceOcean\" href=\"http:\/\/www.faceocean.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">faceOcean<\/a>), Pieter Heerema (No Way Back)\u00a0and Alan Roura (<a title=\"Alan Roura\" href=\"http:\/\/www.alanroura.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Un Vend\u00e9e pour la Suisse<\/a>) and for each, this will represent their first transatlantic race in their new boats.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Calero Marinas Solo Transat offers an early chance to qualify for the Vend\u00e9e Globe, known as the \u201cEverest\u201d of offshore races. The final fleet will gather to prepare in Marina Lanzarote prior to departure on the 9<sup>th<\/sup> April for the 3000nm crossing to Newport, RI, USA where they will be welcomed by Sail Newport and Newport Shipyard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The race is organised by the Real Club N\u00e1utico de Arrecife, a local Lanzarote institution that has created numerous national and international champions and together with Calero Marinas, hosted the RORC Transatlantic Race, the Mini Transat, the Panerai Transat Classique and many one-design world championships. Julio Romero, President of the RCNA said: \u201cOur main objective as a sailing club is to organise and develop sailing events.
