Approaching Marina Lanzarote<\/h1><\/span><\/p>\n

Approach<\/h1>\n

Marina Lanzarote is in Arrecife within the Puerto Naos harbour, situated along the inner length of the south-east facing harbour breakwater and just south-west of the commercial port, Puerto los M\u00e1rmoles.\u00a0Around this area it is advisable to maintain a 0.5\u2013mile distance from the shore to avoid the reef.<\/p>\n

Arriving from the north<\/strong> the first landmarks will be the brightly lit power station and DISA Gas towers (and the height of the multi-storey Gran Hotel to the south).\u00a0Recently extended, the Puerto de los M\u00e1rmoles breakwater is marked by a new green and white tower, the coordinates and light characteristics of which are 28 57.647 N 13 31.827 W and Fl.G.5s20m15M. An east cardinal mark stands on the NE extremity of the breakwater (28 57.851 N\u00a013 31.689 W) with characteristics:\u00a0VQ(3)W5s13m5M.<\/p>\n

Arriving from the south<\/strong> the same Gran Hotel will be visible from at least 3M. Passing the airport on the port side, stay clear of the special marks which correspond to a tanker discharge point.<\/p>\n

The old Puerto de Arrecife will come into view and has a south cardinal tower (Q(6)W+LFl15s11m3M) marking the end of the breakwater. An east cardinal buoy (Q(3)10s) identifies the outer edge of the reef and then the port is clearly visible.<\/p>\n

Upon reaching the Puerto Naos breakwater the new cruise-liner terminal can be clearly seen at the easterly end of the Puerto Naos harbour wall and this may or may not show on plans as a recent addition. The new terminal is marked at the SW point with red cylindrical tower mark (Fl.R.5s6m3M) and at its NE point with another red cylindrical tower, flashing Fl.(2)R.7s6m3M.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once round the breakwater<\/strong>, make for the preferred channel mark (red & green post) on the very end of the container wharf Fl.(2+1)R.10s3M and then with the land-based fort directly in front, turn to port using the marked channel. The travel-hoist and masts in the marina should be visible at this point. Watch a 360\u00ba video of a boat entering the marina.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nFollowing the channel into the harbour, the successive two buoys flash: Fl(4)R.11s. and Fl.G.5s.\u00a0 The marina will now be clear with buildings and pontoons clearly visible to port.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fishing dock on the land side of the harbour where the fishing boats tie up to the wall is marked with green cylindrical tower with light sequence Fl.(3)G.9s.9m.1M.<\/p>\n

Please ensure that you stay within the marked channel. (Now dredged to minimum 4.3m). Visitor arrival berths are currently positioned on the hammerheads of pontoons K, J and I.<\/p>\n

Entry Documentation<\/h1>\n

The Marina Lanzarote Entry Form<\/a>\u00a0and Border Police Form<\/a>\u00a0both need to be completed either beforehand or in the marina office and given to the marina staff who will also request copies of the boat registration document, boat insurance and passport of the owner\/skipper.

The marina can be accessed at all times and members of dock staff are on duty 24 h.
